【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesthephysicalandmagneticcharacteristicsofan8mmwidemagnetictapecartridgetoenablephysicalinterchangeofsuchcartridgesbetweendrives.Italsospecifiesthequalityoftherecordedsignals,therecordingmethodandtherecordedformatcalledVXA-1,andtherebyallowingdatainterchangebetweendrivesbymeansofsuchmagnetictapecartridges.ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesthreetypesdependingonthelengthofmagnetictapecontainedinthecase,referredtoasTypeA,TypeBandTypeC.Informationinterchangebetweensystemsalsorequires,ataminimum,agreementbetweentheinterchangepartiesupontheinterchangecode(s)andthespecificationsofthestructureandlabellingoftheinformationontheinterchangedcartridge.Ifcompressionisusedwiththisformat,itshallbeaccordingtoInternationalStandardISO/IEC15200.
