【摘要】:1.1ThisspecificationcoversthemanufacturingdatarequiredtoproduceavarietyofstylesandsizesofquickdisconnectcouplingsuptoandincludingNPS6formarineusethatensureinterchangeabilityandsafetyofoperation.1.2Ingeneral,quickdisconnectcouplingsarehoseandpipeendfittingsthatpermitquickmechanicalattachmentbymeansotherthanboltedorthreadedfittings.Themethodofattachmentisamalecouplinghalf(adapter)thatfitsintoafemalecouplinghalf(coupler)ofthesamesize.Byclosingattachedcamhandles,thecouplinghalvesseal,permittingfluidstobetransportedunderpressurethroughthequickdisconnectcoupling.1.3Thevaluesstatedinthisspecificationareininch-poundunitswithSIunitsgiveninparentheses.Thevaluesofeachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents.Therefore,eachsystemshouldbeconsideredseparately.1.4Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethoddescribedinthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
