【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodisusedtodeterminetheheatattenuationfactor(HAF),theeffectiveheatattenuationfactor(EHAF),andtheshieldsmechanicalstrength(SMS)ofashieldattachedonlivelinetoolsorrackingrodsintendedforprotectionofworkersexposedtoelectricarcs.1.2Thematerialsusedinthistestmethodofworkerprotectionareintheformofashieldattachedonlivelinetoolsorontherackingrods.1.3Theprotectiveshielddescribedinthistestmethodshallbetransparentandshallbeeasilyattachedandremovedfromlivelinetoolsorfromrackingrods.1.4Theprotectiveshielddescribedinthistestmethodhas24-in.(0.61-m)diameterandcanbeusedformostapplications,howeverforspecialcases,theshieldcanhavedifferentsizestosuittheprotectiverequirementsoftheapplication.1.5Thisstandardshallbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoincidentenergies(thermal-convective,andradiantandpressurewave)generatedbyanelectricarcundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsanddoesnotpurporttopredictdamagefromlight,resultantpressureimpactotherthanthepressureandthermalaspectsmeasured.1.6UnitsThevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.7Thisstandardshallnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafireassessment,whichtakesintoaccountallofthefactors,whicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautions,seeSection.
