【摘要】:ThesulfurcontentofLPG,usedforfuelpurposes,contributestoSOxemissionsandcanleadtocorrosioninengineandexhaustsystems.Someprocesscatalystsusedinpetroleumandchemicalrefiningcanbepoisonedbysulfurbearingmaterialsinthefeedstocks.Thistestmethodcanbeusedtodeterminesulfurinprocessfeeds,tomeasuresulfurinfinishedproducts,andcanalsobeusedforcompliancedeterminationswhenacceptabletoaregulatoryauthority.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftotalvolatilesulfuringaseoushydrocarbonsandliquefiedpetroleum(LP)gases.Itisapplicabletoanalysisofnatural,processed,andfinalproductmaterialscontainingsulfurintherangeof1to100mg/kg(Note1).Note18212Anestimateofpooledlimitofquantification(PLOQ),informationregardingsamplestabilityandothergeneralinformationderivedfromtheinter-laboratorystudyonprecisioncanbereferencedintheASTMresearchreport.1.2Thistestmethodmaynotdetectsulfurcompoundsthatdonotvaporizeundertheconditionsofthetest.1.3ThistestmethodisapplicablefortotalvolatilesulfurdeterminationinLPgasescontaininglessthan0.35%(mass/mass)halogen(s).1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.See3.1andSections6and7forspecificwarningstatements.
